As a 21-year-old feminist, it’s odd to believe that Pride and Prejudice would be my favourite novel. It’s considerably outdated and is, at first glance, a long-winded tale about another poor young woman ripped away in the peak of life to become a slave to matrimony.

DNF’ed twice: why I couldn’t finish ‘The Night Circus’
It is incredibly rare that I do not finish a book.
I have a nasty habit of pushing through to see whether or not the novel gets any better. By the time I’m over halfway, I have concluded that I must see how the story ends (and if it’s as bad as the rest). However, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern proved to be an exception to that rule.
